A baked sweet potato, with lentils on top.
A baked sweet potato gives dinner a useful starting shape. Once it is soft, the topping can be something simple from a small pan.

Try two potatoes
Use two small sweet potatoes, 150 g ready-cooked lentils, a handful of shredded cabbage, half an onion, a tablespoon of oil and a little lemon juice.
Scrub the potatoes and pierce their skins. Bake at 200°C until completely tender, beginning to check around 40 minutes; size changes the time substantially.
Meanwhile, soften the sliced onion in half the oil, add the cooked lentils and a splash of water, and heat thoroughly according to the packet. Toss the washed cabbage with the remaining oil and a little lemon.
Split the potatoes. Add the warm lentils and some cabbage just before eating.
Check the centre
A browned skin does not tell you whether the middle is soft. Test with a clean knife, and continue baking if needed.
This is a separately developed plant-based meal idea. No protein total or tested substitution for the source’s meat dish is implied.
Development draft: not kitchen-tested. Quantities, texture and yield need checking.
Sources, evidence and limits
Evidence basis
Practical editorial opinion; no clinical effect is claimed or independently established.
Least certain: Taste, texture, yield and preparation time have not been tested.
Contrary evidence and limits: Ingredient facts do not establish this dish’s health effects or make it a complete meal for everyone.
What would change the conclusion: Kitchen testing, ingredient brands, allergies or individual dietary needs may require changes.
Claims not adopted: No inherited nutrient totals, medicinal benefits, source-author experiences or validated substitution claims.
