Read the protein powder before the leaderboard.
A ranking can make a protein powder sound like the winner of every question. It helps to decide which question you are asking first.

Are you trying to find a dairy-free option? Fill a gap in meals? Or work on a specific training goal?
Compare a serving you would use
Check protein per serving, serving size, ingredients, allergens and cost. A scoop is not a standard unit across brands. Mixing the powder into a drink can also change what the whole serving contains.
Pea protein and whey are different ingredients. That difference does not mean every product has been compared for every outcome.
Look for the outcome in the study
A short-term change in amino acids in blood is not the same measurement as months of muscle growth. If a headline promises the second from the first, the missing step matters.
The meal pattern and training plan still deserve attention. A powder may be useful in some circumstances, but the front of a tub cannot establish your personal requirement.
Sources, evidence and limits
Evidence basis
[1] FDA — Understanding food labels
Serving-size and key-nutrient sections read.
Compare like quantities; label servings are not individual prescriptions. US label explanation is not Malaysian law.
Least certain: Underlying acute pea/whey trial could not be independently read; no product ranking or dose is validated here.
Contrary evidence and limits: Protein sources can differ in amino-acid profile and digestibility; that does not make every long-term outcome predictable from an acute marker.
What would change the conclusion: A relevant long-term training trial, allergy or clinical assessment can change the choice.
Claims not adopted: No universal whey superiority, pea-causes-gout claim or scoop-based prescription.
