Couscous, peppers and the tofu you already bought.
A new grain does not have to come with a new pantry. Instant couscous is a useful place to keep the rest of dinner familiar.

Start with the packet
For a trial batch, prepare 120 g instant couscous according to its packet. Have 200 g firm tofu, one red pepper, half an onion, one tablespoon of oil and a little ground coriander ready.
Drain the tofu and follow its preparation instructions. Cut it into cubes. Slice the onion and pepper. Cook them in a pan with the oil until softened, then add the tofu and coriander and cook through. Fold into the prepared couscous. A squeeze of lemon can come at the table.
Let the grain stay in the meal
There is no need to turn this into a longevity dish because couscous appears in a Mediterranean cookbook. It is a grain with a practical job: carrying vegetables, tofu and the juices from the pan.
Contains wheat and soy. Instant couscous is not interchangeable with every larger pearl-shaped product; the cooking instructions differ.
Development draft: not kitchen-tested. Quantities, texture and yield need checking.
Sources, evidence and limits
Evidence basis
Practical editorial opinion; no clinical effect is claimed or independently established.
Least certain: Taste, texture, yield and preparation time have not been tested.
Contrary evidence and limits: Ingredient facts do not establish this dish’s health effects or make it a complete meal for everyone.
What would change the conclusion: Kitchen testing, ingredient brands, allergies or individual dietary needs may require changes.
Claims not adopted: No inherited nutrient totals, medicinal benefits, source-author experiences or validated substitution claims.
